I am working on a new version of the Cuttermaster Have a very quiet 130v DC motor attaching to a lovejoy style coupling (which is a tight fit)
coupling is pretty accurate bearing bores are within a few tenths for alignment and fit
Should be quiet, but not as quiet as id like looking for ideas
I know deep groove balls make noise ,
Current theory is , bearings are running static ,no real load Class 3 fit very little grease tight butterfly in the coupling, bearings are being tossed around in the races
