Turbocharger is run by exhaust gases to push the fresh air in the engine where as supercharger is connected to engine itself via -belt, chain or even two stage gears.

Turbocharger is limited upto it's natural ratio limit of engine exhaust whereas the supercharger can be designed according to requirement.

Turbocharger is Mount-in on an engine, it becomes a stage 2 part of system. Where, supercharger is external unit Mount-on stage 4 item.
